BS”D is a study of human responses to fractal falsehood, which I define as a ceaseless recurrence of self-similar patterns of distortion and distraction across scales, domains and dimensions.
BS”D grew out of my work on M2 Dialogue (M2D), an exploration of the liminal space where matter meets metaphor. At M2D, I also incubated DaaS, Dialogue as a Service, and MISM, a blog and a book club organized around a seemingly simple idea: The medium is the message.
At the start, BS”D was a Jewish-themed blog as a leaned heavily on my own experience, including my study of Spinoza, to share the story of “Jews among Jews”. At the time, I wrote:
There are Jews among Jews, estranged from strangers in strange lands. They have a Promised Land too. This is a Substack written by one of these Jews for all of these Jews and for anyone else who stands in opposition to what I call Fractal Falsehood.
Since then, my focus has expanded beyond the “meta-Jewish” perspective, and my orientation has shifted from opposition to understanding.
There are no paywalls on my blogs. Readers who appreciate this work and want to support it financially can subscribe to LJ-Pro, my professional blog, and help me reach prospective clients interested in DEEL, my approach to story-driven problem-solving.
